The Areas We Cover
We work out of Cleveland, TN, based on N Ocoee St, and we run calls through the areas around it rather than chasing jobs across the whole region. That means East Cleveland, about 2 miles out, and Hopewell and South Cleveland, each around 5 miles away, make up a good share of our weekly schedule. We also get out to Wildwood Lake (6 miles), Benton (12 miles), Ooltewah and Collegedale (13 miles each), Lakesite (15 miles), Harrison (16 miles), and Soddy-Daisy and Middle Valley (18 miles each), with Sale Creek at the outer edge around 19 miles.
The closer-in areas get same-day attention more often simply because the drive is shorter. If you're calling from further out, like Sale Creek or Soddy-Daisy, we still take the job, but plan on scheduling rather than a same-afternoon fix. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you waiting on a truck that's still finishing a job 15 miles away.
Across this service area there are roughly 26,126 households and about 15,036 owner-occupied houses, which is the bulk of who we work for. We're not set up for commercial high-cycle doors on the other side of the county. This is a residential operation covering the ground listed above, and we stick to it.
The Work We Take On
Most of the housing stock in this part of Cleveland went up between 1967 and 2004
With the median build year landing around 1984, and that's reflected across the 12 named areas we cover - mostly 1980s and 90s construction. That era means a lot of standard torsion and extension spring setups, steel sectional doors, and openers that are now on their second or third motor. We work on all of that: broken springs, cables off the drum, bent track, worn rollers, openers that grind or won't respond, and full door replacement when a panel's been hit or the door's past repair.
The climate here runs cold-moderate
Which matters more for openers and weatherstripping than most people expect. Cold mornings are when a tired spring finally lets go, and we see that pattern every winter. If your door is groaning before it opens, that's usually the spring losing tension, not the opener failing.
Median household income in the service area sits around $64,756
And we price jobs with that in mind - we're not going to sell a full door replacement when a spring and a new set of cables will get you another decade out of the one you have. We'll tell you which repairs make sense on a door this age and which ones don't.
What We Will Not Do
We don't do commercial overhead doors - loading dock levelers, rolling steel, high-cycle commercial openers. That's a different trade with different parts, and we'd rather send you elsewhere than guess at it. We also won't replace a door that just needs a spring, a cable, or a new roller set; if the frame and track are sound, we fix what's broken instead of pushing a full replacement.
We don't carry every part on the truck for every door built since 1967. Original hardware on a house from the 1980s sometimes means a special-order spring size or an obsolete opener logic board, and when that happens, there's a wait on the part. We'll tell you that cost and timeline up front rather than promise a same-day fix we can't deliver.
We also don't do work outside the areas listed above. If you're calling from well past Sale Creek or outside this service footprint, we're not the right call - not because the work is different, but because we keep our routes tight enough to actually show up when we say we will.
